We’re new to our old house and we have high hopes. So, to avoid being overwhelmed by the reality of our short term goals we decided to keep our to-do list short and sweet:
• make money
• fix cellar
• insulate and seal house
• create greenhouse
• grow food
• address “needs immediate attention” items per home inspection
• paint house (inside, outside)
• obtain furniture
• refinish floors/woodwork
• go off grid
• update electrical system
• plant prairie
No sweat!

I would put obtain furniture at the bottom of the list. It will just get in the way of doing all the other things- like floors, painting, sealing. It also works against the make money part. And when you are ready to update the electrical, we’ll put you in contact with Andy Johnson (West Union, IA) for a walk through)
