Sometimes your painting is going just fine and then you get a drop of purple paint where you did not want it and you panic and freeze and just watch it spread across the wet painting instead of picking up a rag and trying to dab it up.
Luckily there is some forgiveness and when you finally do get out a rag you’re able to change the purple into grayish shading. And with a few extra spots here and there it can even look intentional.
Working with watercolor is a non-stop adventure.

I found myself thinking about an unexpected complication in my life, and I thought, “well, there’s a great big drop of purple, now what am I going to do about it.” Thanks for giving me a creative way to express frustration!
