dragon and beaver

In a moment of weakness at the end of a very long day, we found ourselves at the checkout in a Target, disoriented and worn down, buying the item we were looking for and… a 50 pack of fine tip Crayola markers. Can you believe they only cost 6 dollars!? Not our normal buying strategy, but perhaps it should be. I am so in love with these markers. I have never owned so many different colors. This kind of excess seemed completely out of reach to me as a child. Wow! I find myself drawing pictures, just so I can color them in. However, I’ve found that in the face of so many bright choices all knowledge of color theory, or even basic restraint, goes right out the window. Instead I find myself bemoaning how I didn’t get to use a single pink marker in this picture!

  • love. i think one of the reasons why i like to use dry erase boards is because i love using markers of any kind. but i’m impressed with your ability to color in the lines, K – my skills are definitely not there.

  • So so cool! I am impressed. Really, wow!
And the markers…sort of like the modern version of the 64 pack of Crayola crayons as a kid. Toss up between crayons and those fine tip markers. Next time you visit, we’ll just pull out all the craft stuff and let you and Isabella have at it.
